Casey Speaks About His Record-Setting Goal
Conor Casey's goal Wednesday gave him a league-leading 15 goals and set the club record for the Rapids, surpassing John Spencer's previous high of 14 in 2001 and 2003.
Comments from Casey following the match:
"It feels good [to break the record]. I think I'll feel better once we're in the playoffs.
"I went down the middle last time, and I tried to show like I was going to his [SJ 'keeper Joe Cannon's] left and put it the other way, and luckily he dove.
"Good point, given the circumstances, but it was a terrible game from us. We have to be a lot better if we want to move forward. We have to get at least a win if not more in the next four games. It was a disappointing night, but in the end to be down 1-0 and come out with a point is fortuitous.
"Right now it's just crunch time. We want to make sure we're in the playoffs as soon as possible, and the last two games we haven't played well, so we need to turn that around."
