Casey On the Verge of a Club Record

With his 95th minute penalty strike against San Jose on Friday, Rapids striker Conor Casey tied the club's all-time record for goals scored in a single season.

Casey's tally, his 14th this year, ties him with Rapids Gallery of Honor member John Spencer atop the category (who notched 14 goals in 2 separate seasons).

Even more impressively, Casey did it in fewer games than any other Rapids player in history, needing only 19 games this year to hit for 14 goals.

With 5 games still to go in the regular season, Casey stands a good chance of breaking the record, and could do so this Wednesday vs. San Jose.
