For those that made it to fado Irish Pub last night enjoyed an exciting game and a great atmosphere. Fans were treated to an appearance by Head Coach Gary Smith and Assistant Coach Steve Guppy, as well as fun giveaways for the kids including two Kosuke Kimura autographed mini-soccer balls!
Fado is the perfect place to enojy great food, (fish and chips are excellent!)and Glen the fado General Manager, provides his guests with a great atmosphere for any sporting event, especially soccer matches!!
As for the All-Star game, it was an exciting match which ended 1-1 and had to be resolved on penalties. Everton secured the victory when Freddie Ljungberg missed his penalty allowing Everton to hold on for a 4-3 victory on penalties.
Colorado fans (and the coaches) were excited to see Conor Casey confidently finish his penalty in the lower right corner, past a sprawling Tim Howard. Conor was arguably the best player on the pitch for the match, helping spring Brad Davis for the MLS All-Stars only goal. Conor nearly had the game winner only to have his effort rattle off the legs of the defender on the goal line.
Fans, the next opportunity to watch the Rapids at home is this Saturday against the defending MLS Champs, the Columbus Crew.
