Colorado Governor Bill Ritter has announced in a surprise move that he will not seek re-election next fall.
Since this is the last time it looks like we may get to use this photo, here's the Governor pictured with Rapids and MLS executives at the press conference announcing that the Colorado Rapids would host the 2007 MLS All-Star Game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
The photo is from January 25, 2007 just after the press conference, which was held on top floor of the Qwest building at 555 17th Street in downtown Denver.
From left to right: Rapids Managing Director Jeff Plush, KSE Executive VP Paul Andrews, Governor Ritter, and former MLS Deputy Commissioner (now Chief Executive of Rapids partner club Arsenal FC) Ivan Gazidis.
Ritter will hold a press conference today at 11am MT announcing his decision; watch it streamed live on Rapids media partner 9News.com.
