The Rapids learned today that captain Pablo Mastroeni earned an additional two game suspension and will be unavailable to the team for their next three matches.
Mastroeni picked up his fifth yellow card on the season this past Sunday, resulting in a one game suspension due to caution accumulation, following his foul on Andrew Hainault in the 64th minute.
Upon further review, the league’s Disciplinary Committee added an additional two matches to Mastroeni’s suspension which will result in him missing Colorado’s games at Toronto (9/12) and at San Jose (9/18).

We need Mastroeni to come back head strong and focused to make a strong push into the playoffs.
We need his leadership in order to win the ball on key defensive plays.
Go Rapids. Go away La la galaxy-go away Real Salty Lakes.
